Newtown Middle School Reviews

NMS is a wonderful place to be all the teachers are so nice and i learn something new everyday. I love the school and feel like there doing a great job by preparing us for the High School. My only complaint would be that the luch could use a total Makeover and to my understanding there doing the best of there ability to fix that problem. To me the real thing is that there do a great job providing a safe envirment for kids to learn in and thats what really matters.

The school is literally falling apart and the students lack proper education.

I think NMS needs tremendous improvement. The teachers are completely apathetic. There are hardly any extra-curricular activities and there isn't even a school paper. The principal is completely out of touch and doesn't respond to parents. Communication to parents is extremely poor. My children used to enjoy school and participate in many activities at Reed, but now they just want to get home asap. The building is deteriorating and the facilities are old and outdated. The music program is a joke.

I think that NMS is a great school. I go there as a student and I think that the academics are wonderful along with the athletic teams and activities. I would like to suggest that our school starts to offer snacks and beverages at the basketball games though. I think that would attract a lot of the students because we don't exactly have the best supporting fan group yet. But if we offer snacks and asks students to volunteer, we could make money in the process. Thanks! =]

the school gets an overall B+ to A-.

this school is old and hot! getsome air conditioning!

i love the academics, my children are learning so much about the revolutionary war right now, every day they come home with another random fact about. The only thing they seem not to like is how the luches are not that great. The sides don't always have good fruit they say. They also say that the pizza is cold and the main entree isn't the most appitizing ever. However, I love going to the concerts and watching my child play in the orchestra, the cello! The other music groups ae great too, the band is magnificent and the singers are wonderful. The music progarm is a complete success.
