“As a former student of Stratford High School, having graduated in 1995, I was and continue to be disgusted by the lack of encouragement from the staff (both teachers and guidance counselors). Given my poor history of grades because of emotional distress brought on by the many racial conflicts that occurred regularly in the school, I was told by my guidance counselor to 'not even bother trying to get into college.'
