Harry M. Bailey Middle School Reviews

We come from the bronx, and i can't believe how caring and concerned these teachers are at Bailey. Teachers are willing to help students. even if it means to stay afterschool in turtor. What else can you ask for. My daughter was failing and now amazing she is a B+ student. I thought i would never see this. I was also amazed to hear from the PTA welcoming us. It's a good feeling. From the nurse to administration in personnel they're helpful.

i like bailey its an ok school. i have alot of cool friends there. the teachers are really helpful and supportive! its a great school to go to its my second home.

My daughter is in seventh grade. My son graduated two years ago and is now in Notre Dame High school. I was very impressed with the quality of education in Bailey Middle School. The leadership was strong and very aware of adolescent issues. The teachers were energized and very talented. The principal hired well and had high expectations of the children and staff. My son was very prepared for a high school where the best and brightest attend. The PTA was strong and caring. What else could I ask for?

As an eighth grader at Bailey, I would say it's a pretty good school. However, because of the budget issue, the sports were taken out and there are less activites to join. That's the only problem this school has to work on. -Alice

I guess Bailey is an ok school, its' not the funnest or best but u can get what needs to be done and thats about it. There are really not alot extracurricular activites.

The difference of ethnicity in this particular school is normal I'd have to say. There are an efficient amount of extracurricular activities, and a few after school programs to choose from.

As an 8th grader at Bailey MS, I love it. The teachers care about each student as an individual. You arent judged by teachers or students. The enviroment for learning is wonderful. I have learned so much from my years at bailey ms. The teachers are wondeful. The principal can at times be a little selfish, but he tries to make the learing fun. The assistant principal is also wonderful. She also cares about each student.

This is the worst school in West Haven, the principal doesn't care about anyone but himself, he not only treats the children horrible, but he also treats his staff the same way. There are fights all the time, and the teachers are only there for their paycheck and nothing more. It's the most horrible experience your child will go through. I have a neice and two nephews that are in high school now, and when asked what was there worst time of their lives, they all say the same thing, their middle school years at Bailey. It was the worst as far as teachers, and their class mates were mostly all in trouble all the time. They had no control in that school.

I think that these children work way too work and need more fun activities. They need more field trips for all grades, mostly the 6th grade. The school needs to be more cleaner.
