May V. Carrigan Middle School Reviews

Carrigan Middle School was the greatest middle school I have ever attented....I learned alot of things at this school. there was little problems...not bigs things that couldnt be handled....everything that I know now I give all the credit to carrigan...thank you for everything.....

My family has just moved here from another state, my children love it, they feel safe and enjoy their new friends and enjoy all the activities the school has to offer.

All I have too say about carrigan is that...It is so un-professional and unsafe for all of our children!! So Carrigan u really need help on ur work and you guyz are not responsible what so ever!!!!!

School administrators are insensitive and arrogant. They act like jailer rather than educators.

kids go there that don't live in the district and there is nothing being done about it it is like living in little NEW HAVEN--why not let bridgeport come to school here

When my son started here in the 6th grade there was a great deal of distraction. He is now in the seventh grade and he doing fine. I think if the parents/teachers/students come together the students would do better. I am always involve with my sons school and after school involvments and he is doing fine with flying colors. Need to say I went to the school myself.

I am a PArent at this school. I like the sports that the kids and parents can get into but not so sure about the stage and music room. I haven't heard allot about other activities than that and I think there should be more. The level of parent involment is a disopointment to me too. I like all the fun that they have there but the discipline is aliitle loose. I am talking about the teacher's not the pricipal. All it said on my SON'S report cards are low particapation and bad test scores but if they new he needed help why didn't they offer him it? There are better schools but this one is OK i guess.

This was my daughter's first year here and I was very pleased with how well she did. She had wonderful teachers, who I made sure I kept in contact with throughout the year. The teachers were very happy to assist in anyway they could.

Since my child started at this school he has changed drastically including his grades. I monitor his homework and reports but when the report card came it was not very good, the worst I have seen. Why wasn't I contacted by someone at the school that my child's grades were slipping? I had no idea. I am not happy with this school.

I think if the parents were more involved with their kids, making sure homework and projects were done and making sure their children behave the school would be a lot better. The responsiblity falls on the parent not the school to make sure their kids know how to act right
