“as a student at woodland, i think the school is a very good school that develops great futures for all who attend it. woodland is perfect in size for all of its students; and offers many extracurricular activities.”

“I graduated from WRHS in '05, and I have to say I am very displeased with the way the school has developed (or not) since then. My sister is a junior currently. Woodland has lost many of it's best teachers over the past few years. The school mainly serves to train new teachers, and then allow them to find better paying jobs in other schools. Region 16 does not pay competitively. The budget rarely ever passes without major cuts being made. I served on the Board of Education during my senior year in Woodland, so I know how hard people try to make budgets work without making major cuts, but when a region cannot even afford to pay it's teachers enough to keep them there, it's a huge problem. WRHS had potential, but the lack of funding is going to severely impact the students as they lose quality teachers and resources.”

“I attend Woodland, and quite frankly, I love it. Althought there are tough times where you strain with your teachers and work, but it is a great school. I wouldn't want to attend anyother high school for my high school education.”

“I do not like this school at all. it seems that the students are not disciplined enough. the teachers all try to act more like friends than teachers and that way the students don't take them seriously and don't want to do any work thinking that the teacher is their friend and doesn't think that the teacher will fail them. also I believe that the school is too small. the halls are flooded with students, and it is hard to walk around from class to class.”

“I think this school is good. It has good teachers. They make you work hard. There aren't that many extracurricular activities. It seems kids constantly get in trouble. I guess that means there's good discipline, but also a lot of misbehavior. The school seems big on the outside, but it is really quite small. My daughter says the hallways are so packed with kids that sometimes you can't even walk down them.”

“i cant not say enough good things about this school. i am currently a student who moved to waterury and was going to have to go to crosby high school. i went through everything to get into this school. i had to change legal guardianship to get into this school because i loved it so much. the teachers are great, the school is apauling it is so beautiful. the teachers try really hard to pass students, they never give up. i honestly can not say one bad thing about this school, id recomened anyone to it.”

“Woodland offers excellenct academic programs in all areas. The availability of music, art and sports along with other exrtacurricular activities is a wide range and the best thing about it is that it's not a 'pay as you play' program. It's offered for free so families not being able to afford these programs in other school do not have to worry about their children's interest in playing. Parent involvement in all areas are welcome and parents do take full advantage of this. Woodland Regional High School is among the best in my opinion for excellent education, dicipline and motivation for their students.”

“Woodland is an great school, faculty wise. However, the school has just too many flaws. It is entirely too small for it's student population, and there aren't enough teachers. The budget is decreasing year by year, and sooner than later, this school will downfall. If there new budget passes, this school will lose the prestige that it has built over the past 4 years.”

“Woodland is a great community of learners. It is a difficult school with high standards, both academic and not. The teachers and students create special bonds and there is a high level of respect. The classes and schedules are rigorous. The school has block schedulig which means the students have four classes a day, every other day. This program works exceptionally well for the students and the teachers. The Advisory program is a huge asset to the school. Overall, Woodland is a great school. It's only fauls lie in that it is a new school, just opened in 2001, and ther are many things that still need to be formed, especially extracurriculars, but more are being added every year.”
